Value

If there is only one word as to why you should use Hardie Pipe, it's value. With all James Hardie products, we focus on providing you, our customer, with the greatest value over the life of your project. Our Hardiplank siding product is one of the most popular in the U.S. due to its unsurpassed durability and is considered by many to be as close to maintenance-free as possible. In some markets, it may even cost more than other siding materials. Regardless, it is by far the best value over the life of your home. In bringing Hardie Pipe to the U.S., we are confident that we are providing the same level of value to the civil construction industry.

Hardie Pipe is the next generation concrete pipe. The 16' length of our Hardie Pipe product is twice that of 8' steel-reinforced RCP. So what does that mean to you? It means that you only have to lay half as many pipes for your project. Less pipes translates to less time. And as the tried-and-true saying goes, time is money. In fact, research has indicated that a production increase from 200 linear feet per day to 400 linear feet per day will result in approximately a 24.6% savings in installed costs (including labor, equipment, and materials).

But, the cost of your storm sewer system doesn't stop after the pipe is installed. At Hardie Pipe, we believe that it is important to consider the lifetime cost of the system, including maintenance and repair costs, when selecting your pipe material. Even the best systems will require periodic cleaning to remove potential debris (such as branches and trash) that can restrict flow within your system. The lower Manning's "n" value of our pipe provides you with higher flow velocities that can remove many stubborn objects from your pipeline, effectively "self-cleaning" your system - once again, saving you time and money.

With any material, we realize that risk ultimately translates to value. Hardie Pipe is your best mitigation against risk. During installation, our construction overload capacity provides you with added piece of mind. Our longer lengths and smooth walls provide you with better flow through a conduit that looks like a "rifle barrel." After your system is completed, Hardie Pipe has in-ground strengths in excess of 3 times that of conventional steel-reinforced RCP. Finally, our 100-year service life provides you the assurance that your storm sewer system will be around for your grandchildren to see, which makes Hardie Pipe your lowest risk option - and best value.

All of this adds up to superior customer value. At James Hardie, value encompasses everything we do. You can be assured that with Hardie Pipe, you are selecting the best product for both you and your project.
